Jeanne Massey, Executive Director
Jeanne led the successful Minneapolis referendum campaign for Ranked Choice Voting in 2006 as a volunteer for FairVote Minnesota. She has more than twenty years experience in leading nonprofit organizations and in consulting in community planning, social service delivery systems, and organizational development. She served ten years as the director of Bloomington-based South Hennepin Regional Planning Agency. She holds a master’s degree in Regional and Community Planning from Iowa State University and a bachelor’s degree in Business and Spanish from the University of Northern Iowa. Following undergraduate studies, she served in the Peace Corps in Costa Rica. She is active in her community and has served on several community and nonprofit boards, including the Kingfield Neighborhood Association, the I-35W Access Project Advisory Committee and the Resource Center of the Americas.

Interns
Melanie Sedqui
Melanie is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota with a BA in Political Science and an emphasis on Middle Eastern Studies. She has volunteered for numerous political candidates, issue campaigns and non-profit organizations including: Hmong American Partnership, United Way , MDA Camp Courage, and East Metro Project Homeless Connect. She was active in the St. Paul Better Ballot campaign in 2008 and is currently a part of FairVote Minnesota's Ranked Choice Voting education team. She is also an active mother of two and in her spare time practices photography and studies African and Middle Eastern history.
Luke Belant
Luke is a junior at the University of Minnesota – TC majoring in Political Science who is quickly finding his niche in politics through activism. He says the biggest reward of grassroots organizing is affecting positive change and being able to directly see it happen. When he isn’t volunteering in the community, this Calvin and Hobbes enthusiast can be found at pools across the Twin Cities teaching swimming lessons.
Ruby Hocker
Ruby is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota – TC majoring in Political Science who got her first taste of State politics interning for Senator Pogemiller. She worked with Womenwinning during the last election, and is excited to educate Minneapolis voters Ranked Choice Voting this year.
