Steak Frites WINS with 51% of the vote in the third round of Muffuletta's IRV Trial!

Atlantic Salmon (with 7 votes) and Steak Frites (with 8 votes) were the early favorites, but no candidate had a majority of first choice votes. So Chicken, with the fewest votes (2) was eliminated. The top two favorites, Steak Frites and Atlantic Salmon both picked up one vote, but still not majority winner. Third place candidate, Atlantic Salmon, was eliminated and those 6 votes were distributed among the top two vote getters.

Though Salmon and Steak picked up 3 votes each, Steak Frites' remained one vote ahead and was declared favorite!

MUFFULETTA – Vote Counting Process:

All first choices were tallied. Steak Frites was the favorite with 8 votes, but not by a majority.

Transfer round 1:  All-natural Chick, with just 2 first choice votes, was eliminated. One voter who ranked Chicken first moved to second choice Atlantic Salmon, and the other voter moved to second choice Steak Frites.

All votes were tallied again. There was no majority so another runoff was required.

Transfer round 2: Tortellini Baronessa, the only candidate who didn't pick up any votes this round, was eliminated. The 6 votes for Tortellini were redistributed to those voters second choices, split evenly and adding 3 votes to the 2 remaining candidates.

Steak Frites finally had the 12 votes needed to win, with Atlantic Salmon in a close second of 11 votes.
