QUICK RE-CAP OF THE VOTE

With 73 patron voters and three tasty salads, the first choice tally revealed no majority winner.  Cesar Salad was in plurality lead with 36 votes, Orzo Pasta Salad in second place with 23 votes, and Marinated Vegetables with Balsamic Vinegar trailing with 14 votes.

Because no candidate had 37 votes, or 50% + 1 of the vote, the lowest vote getter, Marinated Vegetables, was eliminated. Ballots from patrons who ranked this salad as their first choice were redistributed to their second preferences. Orzo gained 5 votes and Cesar gained 8 votes. One ballot without a second choice listed was exhausted.

Cesar Salad was declared the winner with 61% of the vote.
