Primary Election - Vote Today!
Today - August 10 - is Primary Election day! This election will decide which candidates will advance to the November ballot in a number of important races, including the DFL and Independence Party contests for governor and legislative, school board, county and municipal races across the state.
Given the change in date this year, turnout is expected to be low. Vote today and make sure your voice is heard!
If you don't know where to vote, look up your polling location here.

A couple of additional reminders for Minneapolis voters:
1) Ranked Choice Voting is used only for city elections, which are held in odd years (e.g. 2009). It is NOT used for school board or state level elections and this means you will be using a traditional vote-for-one ballot this year.
2) Minneapolis school board has changed to a mix of at-large and district-based elections. The district boundaries follow the Park and Recreation Board district boundaries. Find out more about these changes on the City of Minneapolis' website.
If you live in Saint Paul, Ranked Choice Voting elections will begin next year in 2011 for municipal races only.

Happy Primary Day!
